Overview

As a carpenter at Boyne Highlands you are primarily responsible for assisting with projects on the ski hill. We are searching for a skilled carpenter to fabricate, cut, and install wooden structures. A large portion of the tasks is repairing or improving old structures that need work. The right person for this role will have experience working with wood, have a great eye for detail, and contributes to the company’s focus on health and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled work involving rough and finish carpentry.
  • Respond to routine and emergency calls for repairs/service.
  • Follow up on project status.
  • Work with other carpenters to support projects elsewhere on the property.
  • Knowledge of carpentry and building materials.
  • Knowledge of how to safely operate basic hand tools
  • General remodeling skills.
  • Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to execute projects. 

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of carpentry experience
  • At least 18 years old
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Achieved a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
