Overview

Boyne Highlands is currently searching for new Kid Care Attendants to care for children ranging from 3 months to 10 years old in a daycare setting. Special attention is focused on the safety, health, and well-being of each child. Light housekeeping duties are expected of each Team Member and attendants must be able and willing to change diapers and clean up after children. This is a full-time or part-time position with flexible scheduling, giving you plenty of time to take advantage of the many perks that come with working at a beautiful resort! Your starting wage will be $14 an hour or more, based on experience.

Responsibilities

The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position.

  • Welcome children to the center. Take the child’s temperature and sign in.
  • Assist in marking all children's belongings as needed
  • Assist with activities that stimulate children and provide opportunities for fine motor skills as well as cognitive, emotional, and social growth
  • Be responsible for all aspects of feeding, caring, and cleaning for infants and toddlers
  • Monitor sleep room
  • Take children outside for walks and playtime
  • Assist in prep work (cleaning, planning projects) for next day

Qualifications

  • Previous childcare experience is not required, however, preferred.
  • Work well with children and display patience.
  • Complete CPR, First Aid Training. Training provided if necessary. 
  • Must be able to perform all job responsibilities satisfactorily and be able to lift up to 50lbs., bend, twist, kneel.
  • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and 10+ hour days.
