About the role:

The Group Sales Coordinator is responsible for developing, networking and growing new business, as well as maintaining current and incoming accounts. Works to achieve and surpass monthly department goals and objectives, as well as seasonal budget and objectives. The core duties center around communications with group coordinators and departments, sales tracking, group visit planning, revenue tracking and activities facilitation.


The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position.

  • Represent The Summit at Snoqualmie as a leader in Washington state resorts to past, present and future clients at the resort and at in person and or virtual promotional activities
  • Responds to requests for proposal from customers for the following products: Day group visits of 15 people or more, food and beverage coordination, including catering options. Assist as needed with corporate ticket sales, buyouts, appreciation activities, marketing activities, guest engagement programs and initiatives.
  • Solicits sales via phone and email, trade shows, on site or virtual presentations, member associations and networking.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all clients, works with group coordinators to plan activities, greet guests, ticket groups, assist with food and beverage service coordination and meeting any special needs groups may have.
  • Effectively coordinates efforts with appropriate departments to assure a smooth, positive experience for group attendees. Maintain weekly communications with all departments regarding upcoming groups and activities.
  • Establishes and maintains customer/group activities database; works with Sales Manager to coordinate group mailings/emails. Booking of groups, entering information pertinent to group visits into Salesforce CRM system. Track and process group billings and payments for group events.
  • Assists Sales Manager with the creation and development of collateral pieces to promote the property and its activities, as well as tracking weekly sales and producing weekly sales and group visitation reports.
  • Effectively communicates with all levels of employees, guests and outside contacts in person, virtually, via phone, email, response to web site inquires and or other electronic means as appropriate.
  • Develops and maintains key relationships with all existing and potential sales contacts, as well as internal team members to ensure excellent guest service and increased sales revenue.  Effectively follows up on new sales leads generated through marketing collateral to secure new business
  • Assists with the planning and production of special activities as needed
  • Print and or digitally produce, sell group products and process payments using Siriusware Point of Sale System (Training Provided)
  • Other duties as assigned

    • Must have computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook, Word, Publisher and Outlook
    • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM system preferred.
    • Must display excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as customer service skills.
    • Ability to effectively move around all areas of the property.
    • Ability to prioritize and organize work responsibilities and goals, as well as work with minimal supervision.
    • Attention to detail, flexibility and the ability to act quickly & effectively on arising opportunities.
    • Must have strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.


    Bachelors degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college of technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Prior Sales/Customer Service experience a plus. On snow experience and intermediate to advanced ski and or snowboard skills a plus.



    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee may occasionally be required to ski or snowboard and may occasionally be required to ski or snowboard while carrying event gear or supplies. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; hike, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and may occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. This includes moving event materials or equipment, snow sports gear, snow removal, and keeping the office neat, clean, and organized.


    The Group Sales Coordinator works both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. The employee will be required to move between base areas and occasionally work off-site.
