Overview

Sugarloaf Child Care is now hiring caregivers for our preschool infant, and toddler rooms for this coming winter season. Sugarloaf Child Care provides quality care for children ages 10 weeks to 4 years in a professional, licensed childcare facility and is responsible for ensuring that children have a safe and fun environment in which to play and learn while also meeting their basic individual needs. Our working season runs from November to April. We have openings for both full and part time positions in this seasonal role. If you have a passion for working with young children, this is the job for you! 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise children and ensure their safety
  • Implement daily routine and activities 
  • Help and promote good hygiene (washing hands, potty training, diapers, etc.) 
  • Complete/ attend weekly trainings

Qualifications

  • Must be available weekends/ some holidays
  • Exhibits great communication skills - with children, families, and team members 
  • Must be able to collaborate and work effectively as a team 
  • College level course work in Early Childhood OR experience in a licensed Child Care facility is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Must meet Maine State Dept. of Human Services licensing requirements, including attending trainings
