Overview

As the Senior Department Leader of Boyne Resorts industrial laundry facility located in Boyne Falls, MI. This key leadership role oversees the daily operations of the entire laundry facility to ensure guest and team member satisfaction while maximizing the department’s financial performance. Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Determines laundering team member and production schedules to provide quick and efficient service.

 

Ensures proper use and maintenance of equipment. Maintains records of operations and prepares productivity reports.

Understands the impact of the department's operations on the overall resorts operational success, financial goals and manages to achieve or exceed budgeted financial and performance goals.

Comprehends budgets, operating statements and payroll progress reports as needed to assist in the financial management of department.

Prepares and analyzes reports on labor cost and production operations to determine whether operating cost and performance standards are being met.

Participates in departmental meetings and continually communicates a clear and consistent message to all key Team Members regarding the departmental goals to produce desired results.

Communicating the importance of safety procedures, detailing operating procedures, ensures Team member understanding of safety codes, monitors daily processes and procedures related to safety.

Supervises daily shift operations and ensures compliance with all policies, standards and procedures

Holds working knowledge of all team member positions well enough to perform duties in team members absence

Observes operation of machines and equipment to detect and report possible malfunctions

Responsible for overseeing preventative and corrective maintenance on all laundry equipment, mechanical and electrical systems of the facility.

Responds to emergency problems in the facility and makes emergency repairs or calls as needed

Ensures work, maintenance, and inspection logs are up to date per Brand Standards and State requirements, performs daily rounds, tests, and inspections of equipment.

Ensures superior organization and cleanliness of facility shops and mechanical areas.

Orders and manages necessary supplies and linen inventory, ensuring team members have supplies, equipment, tools, and uniforms necessary to do their jobs.

Performs other administrative and supervisory duties to ensure efficient and profitable operation

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
