Overview

Manages all maintenance aspects of Boyne Resorts industrial laundry facility located in Boyne Falls, MI. Striving to ensure the highest level of guest and team member satisfaction, while maximizing the department financial performance. Performs the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Ensures proper use and maintenance of equipment. Maintains records of operations and prepares reports

 

Responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on all laundry equipment. Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs, and diagnoses malfunction of laundry equipment, electrical and mechanical systems of the facility.

Responds to emergency problems in the facility and makes emergency repairs as needed

Maintains work and maintenance logs, performs rounds, tests, and inspections of equipment

Ensures superior organization and cleanliness of facility shops and mechanical areas in a clean and safe manner.

Understands the impact of the department's operations on the overall resorts financial goals, Guest Service and Team Member objectives and manages to achieve or exceed set goals.

Comprehends budgets, operating statements and payroll progress reports as needed to assist in the financial management of department

Prepares and analyzes reports on cost and operational production to determine whether operating standards are being met

Participates in departmental meetings and continually communicates a clear and consistent message regarding the departmental goals to produce desired results

Communicating the importance of safety procedures, detailing procedure codes, ensuring team member understanding of safety codes, monitoring processes and procedures related to safety.

May supervise daily shift operations and ensures compliance with all policies, standards and procedures

Holds working knowledge of all team member positions well enough to perform duties in team members absence

Observes operation of machines and equipment to detect possible malfunctions

Orders and manages necessary supplies, ensuring team members have supplies, equipment, tools, and uniforms necessary to do their jobs.

Performs other administrative and supervisory duties to ensure efficient and profitable operation

 

Supervisory Responsibilities                                                    

Manages subordinates of the laundry department. This position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all equipment and machinery within the facility. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
