Overview

Seeking outgoing and friendly individuals who enjoy interacting each day with a wide range of people.  In this job, it is very important to connect with other people, to meet new and different people on a day-to-day basis, to quickly form relationships, and to use those relationships to do a job well-done. There will be a fair degree of variety from one day to the next, especially with personal interactions, and your work will center on working with and through other people. Great attentiveness to other people as well as the ability to read other people, to listen to them, and to empathize with them is required. Communication will almost always be a "selling" rather than a "telling" nature which means lively and genuine enthusiasm is necessary. Personal interactions should be upbeat and cheerful, requiring someone who is warm, helpful, and friendly to help other feel welcome and at ease. Detailed aspects of the job can generally be delegated to others, but a faster-than-average pace with several “pots on the fire” at once will require the ability to shift quickly between tasks while maintaining a sense of urgency and professionalism.

  • After 90 days in the department you will receive a $250 bonus!  
  • Once you reach the 1-year milestone with us, you will earn an additional $500 bonus!!

Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

  • Receive travel requests for new reservations by telephone, email and fax
  • Assist customers with questions regarding their existing reservation
  • Maintain potential and current guest profile information
  • Promptly follow up with guest inquiry leads for second chance bookings
  • Possess strong ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail
  • Maintain high quality of service to every person using proper verbiage and utilizing appropriate phone etiquette
  • Accurately quote rates and maintain complete knowledge of all promotions and available discounts
  • Post guest deposits
  • Use computerized reservation systems to book hotel reservations and issue confirmations
  • Provide concierge services with general knowledge of each property and surrounding areas including restaurants, entertainment, special events and general directions

Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
  • Knowledge of SpringerMiller, RTP, Marriott software and/or Navis is preferred but not required.
