Overview

Sugarloaf is looking to hire a Conference & Banquet Set-Up Attendant. Our Attendants play a key role in resort events by assisting with all aspects of room setup and breakdown. This is a full-time seasonal role that comes with great job perks and discounts and is also eligible for an end of season bonus. Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Read and follow diagrams to accurately setup tables, chairs, risers, stage, dance floor, audiovisual equipment and other equipment as required for events such as meetings, conferences, weddings/ receptions and social functions/events.
  • Assist in post-event duties such as disposing of trash and recyclables, vacuuming, dusting, removing stains from carpet and walls, installing/uninstalling equipment and materials. 
  • Open rooms for use adjusting lights, sound volumes, and temperature as needed for each room before guests arrive.
  • Be available during meetings to assist with any AV issues and to refresh water services & meeting spaces as needed throughout the function
  • Uphold the high standards of guest service by proactively assisting guests when needed in a timely, friendly and efficient manner, involving the manager when necessary
  • Maintain and monitor all unused rooms daily to ensure the spaces are secure, clean and tour ready.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will be able to:

  • follow written and verbal directions.
  • lift 50+ pounds (tables, chairs, stages) on a daily basis.
  • work independently or with a team.
  • work a flexible shift - evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
  • provide a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.

 

At least 1-2 years of experience in a related position is preferred. Candidate must be in good physical condition, as the position will require heavy lifting.
