Overview

Are you an outdoors lover? Come join our team as a Ticket Scanner for The Summit! You'll be in charge of checking and scanning tickets/ season passes and crowd control as guests enter the lift maze. You will also work closely with the Security and Lift Operations departments to ensure a safe environment for all. What makes this role exciting is that you get to provide excellent guest service while enjoying the amazing scenery our mountain has to offer along with other awesome industry discounts and benefits including a FREE ski pass and tickets to various resorts around the country! You don’t ski or snow board? Not yet!  Take advantage of discounted take-home rentals & free lessons for staff.  This positions is also eligible for an end of season bonus after fulfilling the committed hours and work through date.

 

Referral bonus now up to $200! Both you and the person your are referring have to be working 25 hours/ week or more. ($150 if both are under 25 hours/ week) **Must work through certain date.

Responsibilities

The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position.

  • Welcome and greet guests and assist them as needed as they enter the lift maze. Provide great guest service by exceeding guests expectations.
  • Checking/Scanning/Verifying every guest for a valid ticket or pass.
  • Establish crowd control and effectively communicate traffic flow to guests.
  • Continually remain vigilant to the needs of both the equipment and the guests and react to those needs in the safest manner while maintaining quality service.
  • Capable of resolving guest conflict using resort policies and procedures.
  • Communicate problems to the supervisor, while showing initiative in handling routine matters and emergencies.
  • Must become familiar with the area (lifts and trails). Advise and assist in a courteous manner as needed.
  • Educate guests on chairlift rules and policies in a polite manner when needed.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of all ticket and pass types.
  • Assist guests by making them aware of all our services - cross selling.
  • Contribute to team effort by assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and staff, participate in safety meetings, and accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.
  • Meet service-level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor.
  • Shoveling of snow is sometimes required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.  Must provide outstanding Guest Service. Customer Service experience preferred. Knowledge of other languages a plus! Please keep in mind, 100% of your time is spent outside.
