Overview

The Content Coordinator is responsible for producing photo and video content, managing social media platforms, and coordinating content contributors. The Content Coordinator will spend a significant amount of time on the snow capturing photo and video content, as well as write copy for social media, blogs, web pages, and other online platforms. This role will work closely with the Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Manager to produce and distribute on-brand content and messaging that supports Summit initiatives, both internally and externally. The Content Coordinator role requires strong technical creative capabilities, project management and organizational skills, and the ability to build relationships and collaborate with a wide variety of team members to achieve objectives. This role will oversee ambassador and media relationships as well as contracted photographers/videographers/talent to produce engaging digital content. The Content Coordinator will also assist in general marketing projects including events and group sales initiatives. 

 

The Content Coordinator plays a key role in nurturing the Summit community and brand through authentic content that truly connects with our guests. 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Capture, edit, and produce photo and video content for The Summit. 
  • Contribute to Summit website, blog, and email content. 
  • Work closely with on-mountain departments to generate engaging storytelling content. 
  • Strategically plan and schedule social media content for all Summit social channels.  
  • Organize photographers/videographers/talent for various shoots. 
  • Coordinate the contribution of content from other team members (snow reporters, patrol, operations, etc) 
  • Assist during events by providing social media coverage, aiding in event set-up and production, and representing the Summit at on-site and off-site events.  
  • Oversee Summit Ambassador, Syndicate, and Media Partnerships. 
  • Maintain organized digital content library. 
  • Build internal and external relationships with various departments, athletes, media, and community members and have solid interpersonal skills. 
  • Stay up to date on content trends and best practices, ski industry happenings, and don’t be afraid to bring new ideas and practices to the team.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office. 
  • Must be proficiency in Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere. 
  • Must have previous videography and photography experience and understand basic concepts in each. 
  • Must have excellent ski or snowboard skills, must be advanced level or higher. 
  • Experience managing content and online communities for multiple social media accounts and platforms. 
  • Demonstrate strong judgment, initiative, relationship building, and problem solving skills. 
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to act quickly, efficiently, and effectively. 
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and project management skills.  
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively.  

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Communications or equally relevant degree preferred; a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience in event coordination, communications, or marketing is required in absence of a degree. 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is frequently required to ski or snowboard and regularly required to ski or snowboard with a backpack or camera. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; hike, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. This includes moving event materials or equipment, snow removal, and keeping the office neat, clean, and organized. 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

The Digital Content Coordinator works both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. The employee will be required to move between base areas and occasionally work off-site.
