Boyne Highlands is currently searching for a new Lift Operator Lead to join our team! We are looking for leaders who can assist in organizing the lift operations teams as well as promote a safe work environment. You will also train new lift operators both at running the lifts and on how to provide high quality guest service to anyone visiting our amazing resort. This is a full-time seasonal position and comes with a variety of perks! There will also be opportunities to transfer to a summer position, giving you a year-round experience.

The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position.


  • Assist lift operators in the daily start up ski lifts, including loading and unloading areas and daily safety checks.
  • Ensure that each lift is adequately staffed before opening each day, ensure lifts are shut down properly and lift operations staff is safely off the hill at the end of the day.
  • Assist in snow removal and general surface/ramp maintenance around the top and bottom of each lift daily.
  • Promote a safe work environment, through the proper use and storage of equipment and tools provided at each lift station daily.
  • Having a general knowledge of the work stations at each of the lifts at Boyne Highlands.
  • Giving breaks and lunches to Lift Operators, as well as filling in when staff shortages occur.
  • Promote an enjoyable environment for team members and guests of Boyne Highlands, as well as positive interactions between both.
  • Relay information between management and team members.
  • Assist with daily and continued training.
  • Ability to adapt changing work environments.



  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Able to work outside on your feet in winter conditions.
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds
  • Must be proficient skier or snowboarder.
