As part of the Summit Food & Beverage Team, we ensure you have a share in the tip pool for your base area and you have access to awesome industry discounts and benefits! This includes a FREE ski pass and tickets to various resorts around the country! Don’t ski or snow board? Not a problem!  Take advantage of discounted take-home rentals & free lessons for staff.  This position is also eligible for an end of season bonus after fulfilling the committed hours and work through date. Referral bonus now up to $200! Both you and the person your are referring have to be working 25 hours/ week or more. ($150 if both are under 25 hours/ week) **Must work through certain date.

 

The Barista is responsible for promoting coffee, tea, and pastry sales by educating customers on offered products at a one person coffee stand. Prepares and serves a variety of coffee and tea drinks, as well as pastries and cookies.  Takes initiative to get any and all jobs completed accurately and proficiently and is someone who doesn’t understand the term “not my job.”

Responsibilities

  • The Barista must value consistency and have pride and interest in their products. Required to prepare drinks to standards and follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Educate customers by presenting, educating and answer questions about the menu
  • Must be knowledgeable about the Resort and surrounding areas in order to answer customer questions and direct accurately
  • Merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing products correctly. Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with the roster
  • Able to stand for duration of an 8 hour shift and work independently on unsupervised shifts. Multi-tasking is key!

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.  Previous barista or food and beverage experience is preferred Previous customer service experience and food handlers permit required. (may be obtained upon employment.)  Fluent in any language other than English a plus.
