Overview

Sugarloaf Equipment Operators operate various pieces of equipment (tractors, plow trucks, and the like) in a safe and efficient manner while minimizing contact with the public and having minimal environmental impact. The ideal candidate for this position will be eager to provide outstanding customer service and grounds maintenance services to ensure a high quality experience for Sugarloaf Guests and Property Owners, will have a good working knowledge of OSHA Standards and DigSafe protocol, and will possess a serious attitude toward safety of self and team. Duties include, but are not limited to equipment operation, firewood deliveries, plowing, sanding, and some manual labor.  Winter may include late hours or a varied schedule, depending on storms. Efficiency is key, where much of the work involves driveway and snow removal 

Responsibilities

  • Operate tractors and plow trucks moving snow, debris, and other materials
  • Remove snow from parking lots, roadways, and access points in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist with snow staking, shoveling and de-icing sidewalks.
  • Operate backhoe, dump truck, pickup truck with plow, loaders and graders.
  • Maintain service records for all equipment operated and ensure that service takes place
  • Take responsibility to ensure that no damage occurs to equipment or properties
  • Contribute to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.
  • Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor

Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have experience operating plow trucks and other large machinery.
  • Must be able to provide good references.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license at all times.
  • Applicant must work well with a team and be able to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and duties.
