Boyne Highlands is searching for a new full-time Equestrian Wrangler. Wranglers lead guests on trail and pony rides and as well as provide daily care for the livestock including feeding, watering, grooming, saddling, cleaning tack, and maintaining the Equestrian Facilities.

  • Acts as a lead or drag rider on trail rides and leads pony rides  
  • Provides memorable experiences to guests and possesses the ability to answer guest’s questions.  
  • Provides daily feeding and care for livestock (Variety of horses and Scottish Highland Cattle) according to Boyne Equestrian Centre Standards 
  • Grooms and tacks up horses for trail rides according to Boyne Equestrian Centre Standards 
  • Maintains working order and cleanliness of Equestrian facilities   
  • May help in other areas as needed 


  • Working knowledge of equine and bovine health, feeding, and behavioral principles   
  • Must be comfortable leading guests solo on trail rides and pony rides   
  • Ability to follow specific feeding and handling instructions for each animal   
  • Ability to follow grooming instructions according to standards   
  • Ability to administer first aid to animals   
  • Must be comfortable in the saddle riding a variety of horses and able to ride up to 4 hours a day  
  • Must be at least 18 years old   
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
