Overview

The Sugarloaf Outdoor Center is currently seeking an energetic, dependable, and experienced Lead Ski and Bike Technician. This role represents Sugarloaf while working directly with guests to fit, service, and maintain their equipment including, but not limited to fat tire bikes, ice skates, Nordic skis, ski boots, and ski poles.

This position is full-time seasonal and is eligible for many great job perks as well as a seasonal bonus. Hours will be based on guest volume and wage is based on experience. If you enjoy working in a fun setting and are an outdoor enthusiast, please apply today!

Responsibilities

  • The desire to fit high performing and beginning Nordic skiers into the proper equipment
  • Remain current on new industry products and trends
  • Have vast knowledge of existing Nordic trail system
  • Must be able to maintain and repair all Outdoor Center fat tire bikes, guest skis, and Outdoor Center rental gear including, but not limited to: ice skates, Nordic skis (classic, skate, and backcountry), ski boots and ski poles.
  • Examine bikes for safety before and after use
  • Demonstrate proper knowledge of company cash handling policies and procedures
  • Look for ways to improve processes, both customer and Team Member experience regularly.
  • Arrive on time, with proper, clean attire and appearance

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet guest volume 
  • At least 1 year of related previous experience is preferred
  • Must be knowledgeable of local Nordic and mountain bike trail systems
  • Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school degree or degree equivalent
