Sugarloaf is looking for a service and task oriented person to join our Information Technology (IT) team as an IT Technician. A Sugarloaf IT Technician works daily with team members and guests to provide excellent service as they maintain and monitor the computer systems and networks for our resort. The use of a personal vehicle for travel within the Sugarloaf area is required. Mileage reimbursement will be provided. On-site work is required with the option of some remote capabilities. Wage will start at entry level with the potential for increase based on performance and experience.

The primary functions of this role are to:

• provide desktop PC support to employees and customers
• maintain voice, data, and TV cabling infrastructure (indoor and outdoor); repair or replace damaged wiring; install and terminate wiring to support renovation, relocation, or new construction
• provide direct guest support for guest room issues, including but not limited to: TV, phone and internet
• use vendor support to resolve difficult problems
• provide users with basic instruction
• perform and maintain an inventory of tools and equipment; maintain stocks of consumable supplies
• perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor

The ideal candidate for this role will:

• have a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
• be regularly available for weekend shifts and for evening shifts as needed during scheduled maintenance or in case of emergency.
• have at least 2 years of related work experience (preferred, but willing train the right person).
• be A+ Certified Professional (or be able to obtain certification in a short period of time).
• have advanced knowledge of network cabling, T568A/B wiring standards, and cable count color codes.
• be proficient with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• be able to learn the operation and maintenance of complex PBX telephone systems.
• have basic knowledge of networking.
• be able to critically think and use various resources, including vendor support, reference manuals, internet resources, and/or documentation to solve problems.
• have a current, valid driver’s license and a functioning vehicle with current registration and insurance.
• be able to ski or snowboard at or above the beginner level to perform on-mountain tasks.
