Overview

 

 

 

Get experience in the niche field of ski resorts.  While working on vehicles and snow plows you will gain exposure in ski lift mechanics and $1M snow cats .

Come work and play at Seattle’s home mountain, The Summit at Snoqualmie.  Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90.  With summer activities ramping up (Scenic Lift Rides with Mountain Biking opening late summer 2022 and possibly disc golf) there is lots to do all year long.

Responsibilities

As the Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic you will repair and maintain diesel, gas and hydraulic driven equipment.  You will troubleshoot, problem solve and make repairs.  You are comfortable working on your own and within a team setting. You take pride in taking initiative to get any and all jobs completed accurately and proficiently and timely.  This is a full-time, year round role.

 

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Primarily responsible for maintenance, upkeep and repairs of The Summit’s fleet of vehicles and equipment
  • Track preventative maintenance programs by the keeping of detailed and accurate maintenance records (both hard copy and on computer), reviewing same, and physical inspection of equipment.
  • Troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and vehicle inspections on vehicles, equipment and small engines. Also heavy equipment including, but not limited to snow blowers, graders, loaders, excavators, and dump trucks.
  • Maintenance of welders, chainsaws, pumps, and other small engine type equipment

Qualifications

What you will bring:

  • High school degree, diploma or a GED equivalent
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience, and/or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Possession of appropriate tools.
  • Good attitude and a get it done philosophy
