Overview

As the new Summer Lift Operator for The Highlands, you will run all aspects of the Scenic Chairlift. This will entail getting guests and mountain bikers up the mountain safely and efficiently. You can work either full-time or part-time as your schedule allows and after your shift, you can take advantage of working at an amazing mountain and head out on the trails yourself or head over to the golf course to play a few rounds. You will also have opportunities to transfer to a winter position which comes with a free ski pass.

Responsibilities

The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position.

  • Stop, start and adjust the speed of lifts
  • Assist bikers and guests onto and from the lift and instruct them in safety procedures
  • Observe bikers and guests boarding the lift to ensure they are safely seated and safety bars are secure
  • Keep corral and terminal area clean and orderly promoting safety procedures at all times
  • Perform maintenance on-ramps, terminal area, corral, and other areas as needed
  • Assist in daily lift inspections
  • Gain a thorough understanding of all aspects of The Highlands to function as an information source for guests
  • Direct bikers and guests to locations of interest on the mountain

Qualifications

  • Must be a personable, outspoken individual
  • Must be able to stand outside for 8+ hours
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
