The Highlands is currently seeking a new Banquet Captain to join our events team! As our new captain, you will be responsible for supervising event staff, coordinating set up, and anticipating guest needs during events. • Supervise and assist in the production of all events.
• Create setup lists from function sheets and BEO’s.
• Oversees and assists the front-of-house team with venue setup and service for all events.
• Communicate with the servers and culinary staff to assist in proper execution and service of food and beverage based on timeline, BEO and layout provided.
• Ensure cleanliness of all kitchen and banquet areas and equipment in adherence to all health regulations in food and beverage preparation, storage, and service.
• Assist in cleaning and closing the banquet rooms at the end of the function.
• Post billing at the end of every event.
• Acts as an extension of the Wedding Event Manager on Wedding Event Days.
• Acts as the primary contact for Corporate Groups on event days.
• Resolving problems with guests immediately as they arise with patience and confidence and/or work to prevent problems before they arise
• Maintains superior communication and a “yes” mentality to group main point of contact at all times with a calm, professional demeanor

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role; or three years as a Server/Bartender
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
