The Sugarloaf Accounting division is looking for a well-organized and positive person with a technical and analytical focus to join our team as an Accounting Financial Supervisor. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to lead and coach our team to produce precise, consistent, and accurate quality work based on standards, guidelines and procedures. Steady, even-paced work in this role is essential to analyze data that will help all resort divisions meet their business goals.


Previous experience in accounting and in a leadership role is essential for success in this position. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices along with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.

  • Lead and coach a team to produce precise, consistent and accurate quality work.
  • Manage the bi-annual budgeting process.
  • Assist with payroll documentation.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all systems and processes to ensure postings to general ledger are accurate. This includes working closely with internal department managers along with other Boyne resort finance teams.
  • Oversee the analysis and reconciliation of general ledger.
  • Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports as needed to support the Resort goals.
  • Provide information that is accurate and timely in a usable format to ensure financial reporting deadlines are met. 
  • Communicate with co-workers and department managers on a routine basis for reporting and gathering needed financial data. 
  • Cross-train with financial team in all divisions to understand processes of operations.
  • Responsible for steady and methodical work.


The ideal fit for this role will:

  • have at least 2 years of experience in accounting and some previous experience or knowledge of the hospitality industry.
  • have previous experience in a supervisory role.
  • possess analytical and technical skills.
  • have strong interpersonal communication skills.
