Overview

As a Supervisor, you are responsible for aiding the Assistant Manager and Store Manager with overall store operations, including both day-to-day tasks and long-term goals.

Responsibilities

The Supervisor's typical job functions include:

  • Assisting Store Manager and Assistant Manager in responsibility for the store
  • Opening and closing procedures
  • Demonstrating desired behaviors for staff
  • Providing a strong leadership presence and control in store, while ensuring that all customers receive good service and quality merchandise
  • Regularly communicating with Store Manager to discuss strengths, opportunities, and trends in business
  • Helping Assistant Manager and Store Manager in identifying training needs and providing ongoing training opportunities to the team as needed
  • Assisting Store Manager in delivering consistent, timely feedback and coaching
  • Ensuring company standards are met for store and associate appearance at all times
  • Ensuring all pricing, signage, and displays are correct at all times
  • Enforcing all company policies and procedures, including health, safety, and security
  • Managing and controlling shrinkage
  • Leading a team of 6-20 team members depending on day and time of year
  • Being active on the sales floor selling retail products, ski/snowboard equipment, boot fitting and all other retail products while promoting our resort/outdoor lifestyle brand

Qualifications

  • You are flexible and always willing to learn more. You understand the demands of exceeding customer needs and can work nights, weekends, holidays, occasional overtime and special events when needed. You are able to physically lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • You achieved a high school diploma or equivalent; have a minimum of six months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience; ski/snowboard sales experience preferred
  • You are comfortable handling payment transactions and have basic computer skills.
