Overview

Sugarloaf is hiring Terrain Park Rangers for the upcoming winter season. This position is essential for maintaining all park elements in the terrain park in an effort to provide an enjoyable environment and the best terrain park experience for our guests. You must be comfortable interacting with guests for this job. Park Rangers educate users on Terrain Park and Pipe etiquette as well as monitor and maintain the energy in the terrain park through music, color, fencing, banners, flags, comradery and events. Safety and ensuring a great experience are major responsibilities for this role. We have full-time and part-time seasonal positions available, both are eligible for an end of season bonus. Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and maintaining the designated music, fencing, banners, and flags. 
  • Keeping signage visible in the parks. 
  • Being knowledgeable of and educating guests on terrain park etiquette and Smart Style
  • Monitoring all elements for risk and closing elements that become unsafe to our guests until maintenance can be performed to reopen the feature. 
  • Completing tasks and required documentation as assigned by Terrain Park Manager 
  • Contributing to team effort by participating in job sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of the guests and employees, participating in safety meetings, accepting diverse work assignments, maintaining a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions

Qualifications

For this job you must:

  • be able to ski or snowboard
  • be willing to work in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather conditions
  • have a High School Degree or GED equivalent
  • be at least 18 years of age
  • be able to exert a considerable amount of physical effort in order to complete daily tasks
