Overview

The Highlands is looking for a few more key people to finish out the summer season and into the winter season in FOH positions on our Food & Beverage team! Responsibilities will vary based on position but will center on providing amazing experiences for our guests! This is a full-time or part-time year-round position, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the various perks that come with working for an amazing resort.

Responsibilities

Server

  • Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable.
  • Answer questions about our food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services.
  • Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
  • Upsell food and beverage items by using suggestive selling techniques.
  • Answer questions regarding regions where food products come from, and how food is prepared
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests. enter orders in our point-of-sale system which relays orders to the kitchen and bar.

 

Bartender

  • Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable.
  • Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
  • Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests. enter orders in our point-of-sale system which relays orders to the kitchen.
  • Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons.
  • Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws.

 

Qualifications

  • Must possess ServSafe certification or be willing to obtain it upon employment.
  • Prior experience is helpful but not required
  • Desire/willingness to learn
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
