Overview

Perform preventative and curative maintenance on all electrical systems the resort has to offer. From ski lifts, snowmaking motors and pumps, vehicle charging stations and more. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a wide array of low and high voltage systems, be able to read electrical schematics, use a multi-meter, and have basic knowledge and experience with electrical troubleshooting. 

Responsibilities

  • Perform to code, basic and advanced maintenance functions as required
  • Install electrical gear, panels, conduit, racks, electrical cable, and equipment in an array of different types of buildings.
  • Use testing devices to identify and report electrical problems
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Adhere to state and local building regulations
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner
  • Other tasks as business dictates

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience                                            

  • Associate degree or equivalent from college or technical school plus 4-years of experience in snowmaking; OR at least 6-years of related experience in snowmaking; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • PLUS at least 2-years of supervisory experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Current Driver's License
  • OSHA 40-hour general industry certification within 6-months of hire
  • journeyman or master electricians license

Other Requirements

  • Ski/ride proficiency at an intermediate level or greater
  • Proficient with computers including Microsoft Suite and the ability to learn other technology
  • Friendly, personable, and empathetic 
  • Passionate about winter sports, the outdoors or hospitality
  • Desire to learn new skills and help others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to quickly prioritize tasks and adapt accordingly
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, with varying hours based on season
