Overview

Sunday River is looking for a dynamic, innovative Director of Sales to lead the group sales team. A qualified individual will possess a clear understanding of the resort, hotel, conference, and convention industry and a proven track record of successful sales results and industry leadership.

 

Sunday River Resort & Conference Center is a uniquely situated mountain resort offering extensive conference and meeting facilities with a diverse offering of services and amenities in a breathtaking setting. As a member of the resort’s leadership team, this role is resort based and will direct the sales team in achieving annual group booking/sales goals to include responsibilities as outlined below.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of individuals through coaching, supporting, and developing to meet aggressive annual team sales and revenue goals.
  • Analyze resort business data, market research, and industry data to evaluate and identify appropriate target markets, sales and marketing strategies, and sales goals for the sales team.
  • Work with resort management to set aggressive sales and revenue goals.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and programs to increase occupancy, revenue and sustain resort conference and group services.
  • Complete and manage an operating and payroll budget for department.
  • Drive sales through selling conference and group hotel nights and services, to assist in exceeding department annual sales goals.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and five to eight years' experience. Ideal candidate will have prior experience in the hospitality industry.
