The Lift Construction Director will be responsible for creating and leading a team of individuals in the successful planning and installation (or re-location) of lifts within the Boyne resorts portfolio.  This role will work closely with the SVP of Mtn Operations along with the GM and Mountain Operations team at specific resorts. 

Boyne Resorts is a collection of mountain and lakeside resorts, ski areas, and attractions spanning from British Columbia to Maine. The company owns and operates twelve properties and an outdoor lifestyle equipment/apparel retail division with stores in cities throughout Michigan.   • Hiring, training, and leading a crew of individuals towards a successful, on time commissioning and load testing of assigned lift projects.
  • Sourcing and coordinating subcontractors or things such as concrete, excavation, electrical distribution, etc.
  • Sourcing and coordinating equipment rentals.
  • Assist in planning, approving profiles, grading plans, lift specs, etc.
  • Coordination with Doppelmayr where needed for construction purposes.
  • Assist in creation of budgets.
  • Create and manage construction schedules.
  • Other duties as assigned that are related to lift construction, removal, and/or re-location activities.


  • Proven track record of strong leadership skills.
  • Minimum 5 yrs of lift installation and construction experience.
  • Ability to manage large, complicated projects and tight timelines.
  • Adaptability to changing locations, environments, teams, etc.
  • This is a full-time year-round position.
  • Construction seasons will typically be April through December
    • During construction season 6-day weeks of 10hrs days will be common.
    • “Off season” schedule will be more flexible.
  • Ability to seasonally relocate. (assistance in locating suitable housing will be provided)
