Shifts Available: Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Wage Information: Depending on experience, plus piecework (Piecework is paid during cleaning and service hours) 


Position Summary:

The Room Attendant performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and bathrooms under the supervision of the Executive Housekeeper/Assistant, or in their absence the Hotel Rooms Inspector. The Room Attendant takes pride in providing an exceptional guest experience by ensuring the hotel guest rooms are properly cleaned and maintained, as per brand and company standards.


Big Sky Resort has four main lodging departments: Huntley and Shoshone (main hotel), Summit and Village Center (main hotel), Whitewater Inn and Outside Condominiums. The Whitewater Inn is located on highway 191 below Big Sky Resort. Essential Job Functions:

  • Anticipate guest needs - respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day, to maintain positive guest relations at all times
  • Be familiar with all hotel services, features and local attractions to respond to guest enquiries
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
  • Clean all assigned guest rooms including: dusting, making beds, soiled linen removal, retrieval of clean linens, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning and replenishing rooms with supplies
  • Daily signing in and out of master keys, and being responsible for such keys as per company policy
  • Maintaining proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment, and using correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements
  • Update and record all cleaned rooms
  • Tag all lost and found items and return to the Housekeeping office
  • Report necessary maintenance issues as per company policy
  • Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all guests and guest rooms
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
  • Able to work as a team dealing with supplies and keeping common areas clean


Working conditions:

  • Physical mobility and stamina required – constant standing and walking, frequent kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting up to a minimum of 50 pounds on occasion
