Snowmaker: The Snowmaker is responsible for making snow for early season conditions. Typical start date is early November or when weather permits and end date is usually mid to late January. Snowmakers are responsible for setting up, moving, monitoring, and shutting down all snowmaking equipment. This is a very physically demanding job in which the ideal candidate must be able to lift up to 100 pounds. Must also be able to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to endure all weather conditions.
If you successful complete the snowmaking season you have a free full access ski pass for the remainder of the winter at Big Sky Resort.
Snowcat Operator: Snowcat Operators are responsible for grooming ski runs after business hours and preferable assisted with snowmaking. Shifts available include 5 8-hour shifts from 4pm to midnight or 4 10-hour graveyard shifts. Previous operation of heavy equiptment is required and grooming experience is preferred.
