Overview

The Cash Auditor will handle difficult situations with a calm caring manner and knows what it takes to go “above and beyond” for our guests. This position has knowledge of basic accounting and will record daily records of money for every shift from cashiers. Responsible for accurate data entry, phone etiquette, and overall customer service. Usually works by themselves and may go to other base areas to gather money. Takes initiative to get any and all jobs completed accurately and proficiently.

Responsibilities

The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position. 

  • Reconciles cash sheets from various sales locations by comparing the cashier’s receipts to the reported sales.
  • Prepares daily bank deposits by assembling monies from cashiers, entering the data and balancing the receipts and sales.
  • Responsible for daily check-out and returns of cashier’s bank bags.
  • Maintains balanced vault inventory by auditing and counting petty cash monies twice daily.
  • Protects Company operations by keeping sensitive information confidential.
  • Provides change to sales locations as needed.
  • Performs various credit card functions.
  • Records issuance of gift certificates, vouchers, etc.
  • Monitors issuance of ticket stock.
  • Flexible working hours. Some job sharing may be required.
  • Other non-essential duties may be assigned.
  • The position requires working during Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday periods.

Qualifications

  • Must have computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel, and database programs
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED. Customer service experience. Must be able to multitask in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment. Fluent in any language other than English a plus. Not required but recommend bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant degree or working towards an accounting degree.
