Overview

The Staffing Supervisor will be responsible for various administrative duties of the SnowSports School and its personnel. The Staffing Supervisor will provide administrative best practices, on boarding and scheduling system leadership, exceptional employee experiences and guest services in the administrative environment.

Responsibilities

The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position. 

  • Assist with recruitment of seasonal staff and acting as department liaison with Human Resources.
  • Personal data information processing of both arrival & departure experiences for employees.
    • Ensures the accuracy and timing of employee on boarding documents.
  • Uniform distribution and management.
  • Oversees staff scheduling system.
  • Follow up with all instructor staff by ensuring completion of mid-season and end of season evaluations.
  • Development of employee surveys through the use of Snowpro Portal as directly related to the employee experience.
  • Oversee administrative processes for the SnowSports School.
  • Provides additional administrative and sales support when needed. Facilitate all aspects of seasonal scheduling, for instructors of the school and race department, if applicable.
    • Identify available resources during peak times and redistribute as needed.
  • Oversee employee files, operational files and general records, including accurate database management of employees, guests, and clients.
  • Guest recovery, client relations and accounts receivable.
  • Payroll management, scheduling and troubleshooting to achieve 100% accuracy.
  • Assist in management of staffing center on Snowpro Portal
    • Updating profiles.
    • Run reports as related to scheduling and training clinics.
      • Update scheduling information into Siriusware schedule.
    • Set up training clinics and run reports to provide to trainers.
  • Assist SnowSports Managers:
    • Run reports, payroll, etc
    • Work with Administrative Manager to develop and implement processes and procedures intended to optimize efficiency of internal and external administration operations.
    • Identify and evaluate employee trends.
    • Deliver independent projects as determined by the SnowSports Manager, Admin Manager and SnowSports Director.
  • Oversee SnowSports School ski exchange program, including but not limited to; verifying eligibility, tracking earned days, cross checking scheduling conflicts and distribution of letters.
  • And other duties as assigned

Supervise Team Work - works effectively with fellow leaders to supervise employee experiences as they relate to hiring and on-boarding, scheduling, maintaining accurate payroll, and, supervise the guest experience through using Siriusware software and selling systems, support operations with various communication and administrative documentation.

Supervise Professional Development - Orient, train and coach employees to enhance employee retention and targeted employee engagement.

Supervise Guest Experience - Provide all guests with a caring consultation of the snow sports lifestyle and The Summit SnowSports School's products and services.

Supervise Safety - develop a safety culture, to achieve zero guest and employee incidents per season.

Supervise Financial Strength - Handle all cash/credit transactions with compliance and accuracy, as well as stimulate repeat student volumes to match or exceed unit volume goals, to achieve desired net contribution.

Qualifications

  • Profound working knowledge of the SnowSports School at The Summit or another snow sports school of similar scope.
  • While NOT mandatory, proficient level of skill in using Siriusware will be favored.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum amount of supervision.
  • Ability to evolve, adapt and change.
  • Capability to deal with deadline and workplace pressure, while maintaining a professional presentation.
  • Ability to prioritize high value, high leverage projects, over lower priority tasks to deliver within a lively, and often chaotic, environment.
  • Ability to guide quality experiences for guests and employees, time and time again.
  • Deliver superior internal and external customer service, to optimize the service based sales culture and environment.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • MS Outlook, Word, Excel (in-depth knowledge of Excel preferred), Social Media.
  • Track record for leading people passionately and being emotionally connected with population diversity off snow.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
AA Degree; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably within the snow-sport industry.
