Overview

The SnowSports Cashier is responsible for booking ski, snowboard, telemark and nordic lessons. This position will be proficient in all aspects of daily point of sales operations and able to assist the administrative team in all aspects of SnowSports School operations. This person will additionally develop and maintain systems and procedures that contribute to the operational and financial success of the lesson programs and special events.

Responsibilities

The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position. 

  • Provide superior guest service!
  • Assist in scheduling instructors for the SnowSports private lesson roster.
  • Sell available open time slots to groups/individuals and increase business for the SnowSports School.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve problems as needed.
  • Assist daily operations of the SnowSports School to ensure program efficiency and guest service.
  • Assist with ecommerce questions and troubleshooting.
  • Assist registration process for daily ski school programs.
  • Assist daily deposit of revenue and all sales and accounting procedures for the SnowSports School as needed.
  • Maintain correspondence with Summit guests, and assist with guest service and program management for special events.
  • Compile reports and information and assist in the evaluation of data to improve business performance for the SnowSports School.
  • Have knowledge of and ability to perform all jobs within the SnowSports School sales and reservations team and fill in when necessary.
  • E-commerce reservation fulfillment
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently with minimum amount of supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize within a lively, and often chaotic, environment.
  • Ability to create meaningful, quality experiences for guests and staff.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and to deal with deadline pressure while maintaining a professional presentation.
  • Ability to handle high volume of telephone calls.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with superior attention to detail.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite.
  • Excellent customer service skills. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
1-2 years of related experience preferred. Knowledge of skiing / snowboarding instruction helpful. Experience with SiriusWare preferred (will train the right candidate).
