Monitor restaurant entrance area at all times to observe potential guests.
Keep host stand neat, clean and organized at all times and properly supplied for operation.
Ensure all menus are wiped down, free of spots or stains, and complete.
Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for guests.
Answers telephone and respond or direct call appropriately. Check phone messages if applicable.
Greet guests, escort to table, pull seats out and present menus.
Coordinate activities of dining room personnel to ensure proper rotational seating to keep prompt and courteous service to guests.
Assist in maintaining dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness, and other dining room supplies for tables and serving stations.
