Responsible for soliciting and servicing business for the resort in accordance with the marketing plan and assigned market segments with a concentration on Leisure Groups. Generates a high profile and quality perception in the market place. Responsible for generating group guest room and other revenues as described by the Director of Sales. Also responsible for maximizing profitability and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.

Responsible for providing a high level of customer service through interaction with sales organizers and participants in the assigned leisure markets. Also responsible for maintaining and improving system efficiencies and communication methods between sales office; telesales office; front desk and conference/group service team.


  • Maintain and accurately keep updated, customer records through the use of current software programs; Delphi, SMS and RTP.
  • Meet or exceed pre-determined booking goals for guest room revenue; meet or exceed budgeted costs and revenue on a monthly average with the liberty to negotiate as needed on individual functions within established guidelines yet maintaining the overall revenue goals.
  • Compiles lists of prospective clients for use as sales leads based on information from newspapers, business directories and other sources.
  • Solicit new and repeat guest room and meeting business. Maintain client base of key accounts and conventions. Determine the guest’s needs, space availability, and meeting details.
  • Make outside sales calls and tele-market to obtain business. Also utilize site inspections and on-site luncheons to book business.
  • Evaluate a potential piece of business for profitability and overall benefit to the Resort.
  • Respond to all customer enquires in a timely manner.
  • Work closely and effectively with both the Sales, Service and other resort departments as needed. The Leisure Sales Manager ensures that all group contracts and service are delivered to a high standard.
  • Ensure that the event offer matches the contracted event(s), in terms of product selection and budget and estimated attendance.
  • Matches rates/dates and correspondence information in Delphi and SMS.
  • Creates and maintains accurate package rates and correct OMAP package deductions in SMS
  • Oversees the lodging inventory of Sugarloaf properties based on group inventory and yield guidelines.
  • Provides the revenue manager with timely information regarding pending room releases, pick up pace, and rate questions to allow the revenue manager to accurately provide weekly updates of revenues, room nights.
  • Liaise with Marketing Department as needed to create Signage, Flyers and Events as needed
  • Posting of lift ticket revenue in Delphi from RTP
  • Provides accurate descriptions of various lodging accommodations and amenities available, matching guest/groups with appropriate accommodations
  • Manages wedding/conference tee time blocks as well as additional contracted activities
  • Provide lodging revenue information to accounting department to ensure proper invoices of lodging to master accounts and reconciling package components to correct revenue centers.
  • Keeps informed of current activities, promotions, and programs
  • Filing and other general administrative duties as may be required.
  • Attends all department and resort meetings as necessary.
  • Organize and attend client meetings both internally and externally as needed.
  • Flexible work hours may include nights, weekends and holidays.

Minimum of High School Degree or related work experience in a similar capacity.
