Cabana server is a part-time, seasonal position at Inn at Bay Harbor Resort. Responsibilities are to ensure that patrons have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality customer service bar and poolside. Servers work in the front of the business taking orders, serving food and drinks, and assisting guests with all other needs. All servers must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Job Functions (including but not limited to):
Welcomes and greet guests to make them feel comfortable while delivering individualized service.
Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
Upsell food and beverage items by using suggestive selling techniques.
Answer questions regarding regions where food products come from, and how food is prepared.
Describe in detail tastes and textures.
Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
Take food and beverage orders from guests and enter orders into POS systems.
Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter.
Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
Maintain safe and clean service areas.
Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable).
Assist fellow servers as situations arise as needed.
Assist bus person with clearing and resetting tables as needed.
Must be 18 years old. Servers must either possess ServSafe certification or obtain it upon hire.
