  • Overview

    Supervisor: Brandon Bang, Senior Director of Sales

    Shift Available: Candidate must be flexible in scheduling which includes evenings and weekends for client functions and some overnight travel for sales trips.

     

    Position is responsible for both selling and providing administrative support for the Sales Department. Individual is responsible for selling small meeting and leisure groups. Selected individual will be involved in managing full sales process for small meeting and leisure groups, including contract and rate negotiating, site inspections, and client development in order to generate revenue for Big Sky Resort.

     

    This position is a great entry level opportunity to learn the vast aspects of the Big Sky Resort Sales office and to develop professional career as a sales person, selling a product that is our lifestyle and passion. Big Sky Resort is looking for an individual that has a positive, can-do attitude, is a team player, a self-starter, and dependable.  

    Responsibilities

    • Proactive client research and attraction
    • Contract writing
    • Booking meeting & lodging space
    • General group coordination (answering client questions, building relationships, planning events)
    • Leading Site Tours
    • Assisting in booking process
    • Execution & Liaison for specialty group events
    • Sales Travel – Tradeshows, Agent Trainings & Sales Calls

    Qualifications

    • Fluent in Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook; experience with Springer Miller, ESP, Salesforce or Delphi software are all highly valuable. 
    • Candidates must have communication skills (both verbal, written and interpersonal. 
    • Demonstrated ability to manage time, be well organized, handle multiple tasks, and have a high attention to detail.
    • Candidate must be proficient on mountain for touring prospective clients on all levels of terrain.
