  • Overview

    Oversee, manage and actively work in the field of the Grounds Maintenance Department. Oversee parking/parking lot attendants, Snow Removal/de-icing of walkways, Litter & trash removal, Ensure equipment is maintained and repaired in a timely manner with follow up if required, Clean up sand from lots & walkways, Mow grounds base areas of resort, Spring and fall clean ups, Set up for events, Over-all care of base areas and parking lots, May be required to work in conjunction with any resort department.

    Weekend/holiday work days will be required depending on season and weather

     

     

    Responsibilities

    Keeps crew operating efficiently by organizing and directing them and by solving problems.

    Insures that plans and procedures are followed working with and directing crew, delegating and following up.

    Insures that work is done in a safe manner by supervising and training crew.

    Provide safe parking area by operating snow removal equipment and directing crews.

    Provides safe area for walking and activities by removing snow and ice. Placing ice melt and aggregate and by directing and working with crews.

    Maintains good relations with guests and employees by being courteous and helpful when interacting with guests and other employees.

     Provides superior service to our customers (internal and external) by following Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with guests.

    Respond to all guests and employees in a courteous and efficient manner.

    Contribute to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.

    Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor.

    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

     

    Certificate from college or technical school preferred; Previous related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
