    Review store locations, hours and get an overview of the products offered in each location. Placement in a location is dependent on staffing needs. Outlets operation during the season include Big Sky Sports, Provisions, Pendleton, Lone Peak Logo Shop, Burton Store, The North Face Store and The Board Room.

     

    If you are a mountain bike enthusiast, Different Spokes Bike Shop is also looking for one Sales Associate, which includes assisting guests with bike rentals and accessories. Preference for those who have worked in a bicycle shop before. 

     

    If you are a golf enthusiast, the Big Sky Resort Golf Course needs sales associates in the Pro Shop. This position will open and close the golf course, schedule tee times over the phone and assist customers in the retail shop. Preference for those who have experience with the game of golf and have worked in a Pro Shop previously.

     

    A Retail Sales Associate is an expert on products and brands offered by Big Sky Resort outlets. Enthusiasm and knowledge about outdoor gear is essential! Sales Associates are excited to share a piece of Big Sky with visitors from other areas of the state, out of state, and out of country.

    Responsibilities

    • Will be required to gain strong knowledge of Big Sky Resort property and the surrounding area. Must be able to answer questions about activities and sights in the area and make sales suggestions based on guests’ wants and needs
    • Manage and control inventory by stocking and organizing. Cleaning and organizing daily to keep sales area in prime appearance.
    • Must be able to work independently and multi-task, greeting all guests promptly entering the store and host a warmly atmosphere.
    • Utilize the tools and training provided by Big Sky Resort to develop selling and service skills, resulting in long-term customer relationships and increased sales.
    • Give accurate and current information about the merchandise for all brands we carry, if the correct information is not at hand; ask manager or supervisor for help.
    • Maintain the Boyne Rewards signup and loyalty program in all locations.
    • Handle product returns in a way that is professional and customer focused.
    • Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude at all times.
    • Apply the above standards to all phone calls and questions.

    Operations: 

    • Report to work on time or notify in advance if absent or late.
    • Cash register operations; employees are expected to use the register without error and to be consistently accurate in money handling.
    • Understand and use system reports including inventory lookup, Boyne Reward signups and daily sales goals.
    • Use correct system procedures for processing online orders, transfers and special orders.
    • Practice security measures that help prevent theft; understand the procedures for handling shoplifters.
    • Always practicing safety awareness at all times.

    Training and Employee Growth:

    • Participate in all required Big Sky Resort Retail employee training.
    • Participate in the training of fellow employees, including new hire training and ongoing product service training.
    • Be proactive in your ongoing education regarding the company, weekly reports, products, and the outdoor retail business.
    • Take advantage of additional in-store and outside training opportunities that are offered.
    • Retail Stores are open 7 days per week. Plan to be available to work a minimum of one weekend day, one opening shift and one closing shift throughout the week.
    • It is the responsibility of every employee to contribute to a positive work environment through helpful and professional interactions with co-workers and guests.
