    Supervisor: VP of Business Development   

    Shift: Monday-Friday, 9 am – 5 pm with occasional needs on weekends  

    Wage Information: Dependent on experience 

     

    As video content producer for Big Sky Resort, you’ll represent and champion the Resort brand across a variety of media and channels. We’re looking for a creative and strategic hustler who can concept, storyboard, capture, edit and publish a wide range of original and engaging video content, with a commitment to on-mountain storytelling. Our ideal candidate is a passionate skier or snowboarder and mountain sports enthusiast, dedicated to building a culture of stoke through dynamic creative assets, and committed to video excellence - on mountain and behind computer in the editing process. This person must be willing and able to collaborate with other members of the marketing team to accomplish high quality and creative video designed for different audiences and channels, including a new, massive digital channel that will be the first of its kind in Montana this ski season. 

    Responsibilities

    • Concept creative ideas and storyboard for video content that represents the best of skiing/snowboarding sports and the outdoor, active lifestyle in Big Sky, Montana.
    • Produce, shoot and edit video content for a variety of channels, including an array of digital screen systems, social media and video platforms, video advertising channels, website, and app.
    • Work on deadline to produce compelling content as necessary according to set campaigns, event and editorial calendars.
    • Capture spontaneous video and drone footage on and off the mountain, throughout the winter and summer seasons.
    • Edit existing b-roll to reflect current mountain conditions for snow messages and alerts
    • Work with 3rd party content producers to incorporate incoming content into all channels as necessary, according to seasonal content calendars.
    • Direct video photo shoots with professional and amateur athletes, models and other subjects.
    • Track reach and engagement with video content in monthly roll-ups.
    • Manage video content library and 3rd party video shoots on behalf of the marketing team. 
    • Manage photographer and ambassador program on behalf of the marketing team.

    • Unlimited passion for ski / snowboard / mountain and action sports culture
    • Driven professional who embraces new challenges with enthusiasm and proactivity
    • Possesses an indomitable creative spirit
    • Interest in producing original video content for a massive-sized digital channel that will be introduced in December 2018 at Big Sky Resort, and the first of its kind in North America
    • Has a passion for creating edgy and hip video content, graphic, and transitions, as well as emotive human-interest stories, persuasive marketing messages and exciting action footage
    • Experience creating engaging creative video content for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Web, mobile app, digital screens, and other channels
    • Extensive video asset collection
    • Drone license preferred
    • Eagerness to learn new trends in video production as it relates to digital media
    • Strong knowledge of best practices for tagging, loading video assets to public facing channels with eye towards SEO
    • Excellent organization and time management skills
    • Interpersonal skills; Comfortable working in team environment
    • Ability to multitask, and assist in creation of multiple visual projects in short timeline
    • Believes no job is too big nor too small
    • Driven to excel in a dynamic and one-of-a-kind environment
