  • Overview

    The Barista is a full or part-time, seasonal position. Responsibilities are to ensure that guests have an enjoyable experience by providing quality customer service. Baristas work in the front of the business taking orders, making and serving drinks, and assisting guests with all other needs. All baristas must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Takes initiative to get any and all jobs completed accurately and proficiently and is someone who doesn't understand the term "not my job."

    • Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you're there to personally take care of them.
    • Inform guests of specials.
    • Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
    • Upsell food and beverage items by using suggestive selling techniques.
    • Describe in detail tastes and textures.
    • Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
    • Take beverage orders from guests, enter orders in our point-of-sale system.
    • Deliver beverages to guests in a timely matter.
    • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
    • Maintain clean service areas
    • Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
    • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable).
    • Assist fellow baristas as situations arise as needed.
    • Other non-essential duties may be assigned


    • Success With The Guest -Create a positive impression for our guests. Genuinely welcomes the guest: smiles, makes eye contact, engages the guest in conversation and thanks them for their patronage.
    • Work Performance and Job Knowledge -Accuracy, attention to detail, volume of work produced and speed in which it is completed. Such knowledge may be gained from education, experience, training and the ability to adapt to new situations.
    • Teamwork -Upbeat and dependable. Demonstrates the ability to cooperate, communicate and work as a team player with co-workers, supervisors, and outside contacts.
    • Professionalism - Acts professionally and is respectful of others. Adherence to all uniform standards.
    • Attendance/Punctuality - Communicates absences and schedule changes in a timely manner. Promptness in reporting to work and adherence to break and lunch schedules.
    • Safety - Demonstrates safety consciousness with guests, resort and co-workers. Attends safety meetings and adheres to safety codes and procedures.


    Must be 18 years old. Baristas must either possess ServSafe certification or obtain it upon hire.
