  • Overview

    BoyneCountrySports.com is the ecommerce site for 6 Boyne Country Sports stores located in Michigan, and also serves as an important marketing and communications tool. You will be responsible for managing a new ecommerce platform integration (NOP Commerce) with the stores’ POS system, overseeing product build/data entry team (including content and images), inventory management, order fulfillment, website copy, online customer service phone calls, and working closely with marketing and web development teams in order to create targeted campaigns, improve site usability, troubleshooting NOP Commerce and maintaining regular updates based on inventory levels and seasonality.

    Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

     

    • Collaborate with internal teams to execute promotions and marketing campaigns
    • Measure, analyze and evaluate ecommerce effectiveness to improve user experience, user funnels, online shopping experience and profitability
    • Optimize web page copy, metadata, titles, descriptions, and alt tags, for SEO to increase rankings and traffic
    • Work collaboratively to enhance product pages with video content, educational content, additional product specs, alternate images, and user-generated content
    • Complete management of product inventory
    • Manage content and/or create content for products and assist with content for email blasts and social media
    • Review and edit new and existing product descriptions
    • Make recommendations for purchasing and marketing for product and content development
    • Report operational/technical issues and resolve these issues
    • Work with marketing team to create banners, images, and promotional campaigns
    • Work with Director of Marketing to develop and implement an ecommerce marketing plan
    • Monitor key performance indicators on the website, report findings, and make recommendations for improvement
    • Monitor, evaluate and work to improve website sales conversions & customer engagement
    • Perform other related duties as assigned

    Education

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communication, or E-Commerce

     

    Other Abilities

    • Understand disciplines required to drive traffic to retail websites (PPC, email marketing, remarketing, etc.).
    • Competent in Google Analytics and Google Search Console
    • Creative writing
    • Moderate ability to use Adobe Creative Suite
    • Basic HTML knowledge
    • Experience working with ecommerce software (Magento, Woocommerce, Shopify, NOP, etc.)
    • Ability to travel to vendor showroom and trade shows
    • Ability to develop complete knowledge about the product and the market
