  • Overview

    As a Culinary Intern-Level One you are responsible learning all aspects of kitchen management.  The internship is an opportunity for an individual going into a career in food and beverage management to work in the field.

    Responsibilities

    The Front of the House Intern-Level One's typical job functions include:

     

    • Becoming familiar with the culture, history and expectations of Boyne Mountain Resort
    • Learning all entry-level positions in the restaurant including but not limited to: Prep cooking, Pantry/Cold food, Inventory, Food storage, Expediting, Food running
    • Helping chef and sous chef with daily tasks
    • Recording inventory on a bi-monthly basis with assistance from chef
    • Working in any entry-level food and beverage position in other locations across Boyne Mountain including Das Cafe', Beach House Restaurant, Forty Acres Tavern, Eagles Nest, Banquets or Avalanche Bay Pub.
    • Learning any tasks relevant to your educational experience as assigned by chef

    Qualifications

    This position may be for you if:

    • You are currently enrolled in a related higher education program
    • You are available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
    • You are able to lift up to 40 pounds
    • You are focused, detail-oriented, able to display positive customer service and a team player
    • You are over 18 years old, experience not necessary
