Boyne Resorts is the largest privately owned and operated ski and golf resort company in the country, operating as many as 11 different ski areas and resort properties with over 9000 full time and seasonal employees. Boyne Resorts was formed in 1947 and is headquartered in beautiful northern Michigan.
Boyne Resorts is in the middle of a long-term effort to transform and modernize its core business and transactional systems in a unified architecture. We are seeking candidates with strong operational knowledge of POS systems relating to Ski Operations and F&B.
This role requires an individual to assist or lead the optimization, governance, and audit of existing business applications. This role will also facilitate enhancement, implementation, and migration of various business functions, such as; ski operations, lodging, food and beverage, and spa. The ideal candidate will have the ability to gather business requirements and understand business processes and apply those to an optimal configuration within the software applications being enhanced or implemented, but also have the ability or aptitude to perform minor customizations within the applications, if necessary.
The candidate should have some combination of the below skills and experience:
Especially desirable is a candidate that has prior experience in the Ski Industry and any kind of familiarity with industry specific legacy applications such as RTP|One, Siriusware, Squirrel, or InfoGenesis.
To foster strong team relationships, it would be ideal if the candidate was in northern Michigan or southwest Montana. However, a few on the current team are considered full time remote workers. In a full time, remote situation, the candidate is expected to be well disciplined and have a quality quiet personal workspace. On a semi-regular basis, the team is brought together all at once for a week or less in order to build comradery, typically this happens quarterly, or when an opportunity arises due to projects being executed. Regardless if working remote or not, occasional travel within the US and/or Canada may be required for special projects.
