Ticket Checkers are responsible for greeting on mountain guests, act as a source for mountain information, and on mountain ticket and line management. This position will spend their full shift outside primarily at the bottom of the chair lifts. Flexibility, outstanding guest service skills, and attention to detail are a must. Ticket checkers will use hand held scanning equipment to scan guest’s tickets/passes to ensure our guests are skiing/riding on the proper ticket. Ticket checkers with proper skiing/riding ability will have the opportunity to ski/ride to properly cover each chair lift with a scanning location. Ticket checkers will work with guests and the season pass office to mitigate ticket/pass issues. This position acts as the ultimate resort host. All other duties as assigned.
The overall role of ticket checkers is to scan tickets & passes at the chairlifts is to identify ticket fraud, collect essential guest data and assist our guests as needed. This department works closely with the Season Pass Office, Front Desk and Lift Operations.

Act as mountain-side concierge.
Offer guests local insight on mountain conditions, weather, ski trails, lift access points and dining option on property and around mountain.
Provide superior service to our guests (internal and external) at all times. Follows resort etiquette guidelines.
Ensure all lift tickets and passes are checked/scanned.
Assist in handling conflict and coordinating resolution.
Answer questions and provide directions.
Understand all ticket and season pass products.
Assist with general cleanup of lift areas and building lift maze/corral.
Assist in other areas and perform other tasks as needed.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
While performing the duties of this Job, the Team Member is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; extreme cold. The Team Member is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
