    Sunday River's Vacation Sales Specialists are outgoing and friendly in nature, have the ability to interact with a wide range of people, and develop friendly personal relations with others. This position's primary responsibility is to capture as many reservations as possible by utilizing effective selling techniques and all available tools. The idea candiate would be self-motivated, sales-minded, customer-focused and detail-oriented with a high degree of computer literacy, the willingness to learn new processes, and the ability to merge into a dynamic work environment. A faster than average pace will be the norm for this position. There is a fair degree of change from day to day therefore the job requires one to shift from task to task quickly, and maintain a sense of urgency.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist guests by selling future reservations
    • Promptly follow-up with guest inquiry leads for second chance bookings
    • Generate additional revenue by upselling and outbound calls to past customer lists
    • Cultivate the ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail
    • Consistently carry out the directions of a supervisor; sales coaching
    • Maintain potential and current guest profile information
    • Work in a neat and organized manner
    • Deliver the highest standard of service to all customers
    • Maintain a positive and upbeat attitude at all times
    • Solve new or unfamiliar problems, tactfully avoiding disagreements or conflicts
    • Closely check the correctness of work done by others and self; ensure that work meets quality standards
    • Work with complex systems and/or processes (Springer Miller Systems and RTP)
    • Speak persuasively; sell ideas and/or other intangibles and while being comfortable asking for the sale
    • Make decisions independently while being calm and patient at all times
    • Assure compliance with laws and company policies and regulations; be respsonsible for security of company property

    Qualifications

    Previous customer service experience and knowledge of SpringerMiller, RTP, and/or Navis is preferred but not required.
