  • Overview

    As an Assistant Manager you are responsible for aiding the store manager with overall store operations, including both day-to-day tasks and long-term goals.


    The Assistant Manager's typical job functions include:

    • Assisting store manager with providing a strong leadership presence and control in store, while ensuring that all customers receive good service and quality merchandise
    • Communicating regularly with store manager to discuss strengths, opportunities, and trends in business
    • Helping store manager in identifying training needs and providing ongoing training opportunities to the team as needed
    • Assisting store manager in delivering consistent, in the moment, feedback and coaching
    • Ensuring company standards are met for store and associate appearance at all times
    • Ensuring all pricing, signage, and displays are correct at all times with current and new stock
    • Enforcing all company policies and procedures, including health, safety, and security
    • Managing and controlling inventory shrinkage, weekly and daily
    • Performing all additional duties as directed by store manager
    • Opening and closing responsibilities: Cash counts, audits, closing out of daily business
    • Promoting strong sales responsibility and premium customer service skills
    • Evening and weekend hours are required in this retail environment
    • Leading a team of 6-20 depending on day and time of year
    • Completing payroll tasks, spot inventories and daily bookkeeping 




    This position may be for you if:

    • You are at least 18 years old
    • You have achieved a high school diploma or GED degree
    • You possess a minimum of two year hard and soft goods sales experience; two years retail management experience; ski/snowboard sales experience preferred
    • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • You are able to effectively lead a team
    • You are available to work nights, weekends, holidays and special events
