  • Overview

    The Parking & Transportation Manager oversees Parking and Transportation departments.  Leads by example by helping on the front line parking cars, driving shuttle buses, and assisting guests during peak periods.  As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employees' job is to get and keep guests. Takes initiative to get any and all jobs completed accurately and proficiently and is someone who doesn’t understand the term “not my job.”


    The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position. 

    • Hires, motivates, evaluates, and manages staff to ensure adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established goals and objectives.  Ensures that all employees receive the training, support, guidance, feedback and resources necessary.
    • Manages the establishment of departmental standards, guidelines and objectives and maintains other administrative processes such as staffing to ensure proper planning, efficient operation of departments and successful achievement of resort goals.
    • Monitors and evaluates teams to ensure the successful execution of activities and to improve the effectiveness of the areas of responsibility.
    • Maintains and enhances a guest-focused culture in all areas of responsibility.
    • Ensures department remains in compliance with federal, state and resort safety and environmental standards.
    • Schedules Parking Attendants and Shuttle Bus Drivers.
    • Oversees departmental time sheets.
    • Actively works in parking lots with Parking Attendants.
    • Resolves minor conflicts and complaints (internal and external).
    • Responsible for daily delivery of received packets (FedEx, UPS, etc) across resort.
    • Oversees both on-mountain and off-mountain bus transportation.
    • Flexible working hours.  Some job sharing may be required.
    • Other duties as assigned

    • Attendance/Punctuality – Communicates absences and schedule changes in a timely manner.  Promptness in reporting to work and adherence to break and lunch schedules.
    • Safety – Demonstrates safety consciousness with guests, resort and co-workers.  Attends safety meetings and adheres to safety codes and procedures.


    • Possesses a positive attitude and remains professional at all times
    • Effective communication skills with all levels of employees, guests and other outside contacts
    • Understanding of corporate and resort specific policies and procedures
    • Ability to motivate and lead staff to achieve goals and objectives
    • Familiarity with state and federal environmental standards and OSHA regulations.
    • Must have a current valid drivers’ license and pass a background and driving record check.

    High school degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution preferred.  Some management experience required. Record keeping and supervisory skills preferred.
