  • Overview

    The Ski Check attendant is responsible for the security of the guest’s equipment as well as maintaining a clean and efficient ski check operation. Must pay close attention to details and be highly organized to perform job successfully. Ideal candidate will be customer-oriented and will provide exceptional guest service. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests. Provides general information to the guests about The Summit and The Base Area.  Takes initiative to get any and all jobs completed accurately and proficiently and is someone who doesn’t understand the term “not my job.”

     

    Responsibilities

    • Provide accurate storage of equipment for each guest.
    • Responsible for the security of equipment at all times during shift. 
    • Meet and greet guests
    • Maintain a clean & safe ski check building.
    • Ensure guest satisfaction for the customer by possessing a general knowledge of the ski area and by acting as a guest services representative.
    • Perform general preparation work such as putting out racks & ropes, shoveling decks and walkways, sanding and salting, opening of ski check and assisting other departments as necessary.
    • Accurate cash handling skills
    • Responsible for operating ski check
    • Cleaning of ski check and surrounding area.
    • Must have excellent guest service skills.
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    High school education or equivalent; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Previous experience in dealing with the public and providing customer service is desired.  Previous cash handling experience is beneficial. Must be 18 years or older.
