  • Overview

    Sugarloaf is looking to hire safety oriented people for the Nordic grooming department at the resort's Outdoor Center. Outdoor Center Groomers must be able to provide the best possible skiing surface while safely operating the grooming equipment in a variety of outdoor weather conditions.

    You must have a flexible schedule, good judgment, and the ability to operate machines in different snow conditions. All groomers are expected to maintain equipment, do routine services and have good communication skills. Knowledge of Nordic trail system and grooming routines are desired.


    • Groom all trails as assigned 
    • Safely complete all tasks with no damage to equipment or to areas of work by evaluating performance and from feedback of crew leaders, team, and supervisor 
    • Ensure that equipment is fueled and shoveled off at the end of each shift 
    • Track and record all time spent on trail grooming and projects 
    • Must be proficient in the use of vehicle attachments like compactor bars, tillers, and blades 
    • Operation of a snowmobile and trail drag, as well as a chainsaw will also be a regular work task for this position 
    • Maintain the assigned equipment in routine manner 
    • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results 
    • Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor 


    • Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license
    • Must be able to work with little direct supervision and as part of a team
    • Must have an understanding and willingness to adhere to safety standards
    • Must be able to work nights, holidays, and weekends
    • Grooming experience is preferred
