  • Overview

    The Nordic Rental Tech is a front-line position that involves working with a potentially high volume of guests in a fast-paced environment. Nordic Techs fit & rent boots, skis and snowshoes with a smile, does basic waxing on skis bindings and provides excellent guest service. Provides general information to the guests about The Summit and The Base Area.  As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employees' job is to get and keep guests.  Takes initiative to get any and all jobs completed accurately and proficiently and is someone who doesn’t understand the term “not my job.”

     

     

    Responsibilities

     

    The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position. 

    • Safely fit boots, skis and snowshoes to customers.
    • Demonstrate to the customer how the skis/snowshoes work.
    • Perform general maintenance on equipment.
    • Be able to complete liability forms with legible penmanship.
    • Handle complaints from customers.
    • Work as fast, yet as safely as possible during peak hours.
    • Flexible working hours.  Some job sharing may be required.
    • Answer questions about ski/snowshoe equipment.
    • Exceed Rental Shop goals and standards through integrity and teamwork.
    • Provides superior service to all internal and external customers.
    • Greets customers and determines their needs.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    High school education or equivalent; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must be 18 years or older.
