  • Overview

    The Rental Tech fits & rents boots, skis and snowboards with a smile, does basic repairs on ski and snowboard equipment, completes safety tests on bindings and provides excellent guest service. Provides general information to the guests about The Summit and The Base Area. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests.  Takes initiative to get any and all jobs completed accurately and proficiently and is someone who doesn’t understand the term “not my job.”


    The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position. 

    • Safely fit boots, skis and snowboards to customers.
    • Demonstrate to the customer how the bindings work.
    • Perform general maintenance and repair on equipment.
    • Be able to complete liability forms with legible penmanship.
    • Handle complaints from customers.
    • Work as fast, yet as safely as possible during peak hours.
    • Flexible working hours.  Some job sharing may be required.
    • Ensure our guests' safety by strict attention to detail and properly repair and adjust equipment.
    • Answer questions about ski/snowboard equipment.
    • Accept payment efficiently, with courtesy and diplomacy, entering the appropriate form of payment in the cash register, counting change policies and procedures.
    • Exceed Rental Shop goals and standards through integrity and teamwork.
    • Provides superior service to all internal and external customers.
    • Greets customers and determines their needs.
    • Adjusts and test bindings.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Safety – Demonstrates safety consciousness with guests, resort and co-workers.  Attends safety meetings and adheres to safety codes and procedures.



    High school education or equivalent; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must be 18 years or older.
